I know. She looked so sad for just the few minutes I put it on her to take the pictures. How will she feel when she has to wear it for real??? I've never seen her look so sad. She doeesn't even look that sad when she gets sent to the corner.
MICHAEL BRYANT!!! I BLAME YOU FOR MAKING SHASTA SAD! YOU ARE A MEAN, MEAN PERSON!!! STUPID TOO!

What's even sadder...is once all of our pitties have finally passed on to Rainbow Bridge in Ontario, Canada...there will be no more here, as if they never existed. That's the sad reality unless we can get this law changed. Same with a lot of the other States too.
That's WHY we can't give up this fight even if we've lost the first round. War wasn't won over night. You win some...you lose some, but you keep on fighting for what is right and just.

Poor baby! :( That is the same look Bridget gets when we put hers on :( But, with her being shy, and people being stupid... it is better safe than sorry for her. But poor Shasta..... she certainly shouldn't have to wear one :(

I'm hoping it's not enough to make her shy. I plan on asking any owner with a muzzled dog if it's ok to pet it. If the answer is yes, I'm going to make sure I show that dog that it is well loved dispite the stupid muzzles. Hopefully other people will do the same with Shasta.
We socialize them their whole lives just to end up muzzling them. When I saw the look on her face eveb for those few seconds to snap two pictures it made me heartbroken and mad to see her that sad. Even the last picture liiked more like 'why would you put that on me?' notice how her ears were down and the eyes so sad.
Now I understand more about Bridget and when you took it off of her as your g/f's request and saw the change in her immediately.
When I make her one, I will follow the specifications, but I will also go by Shasta as to comfort. She doesn't mind her halti (gentle leader), so something simular, only instead of the loose strap, have it buckle up might be the way to go. I changed my idea's so many times I can't even count anymore. 10 more days! *sigh*
