Shasta became a DOG!!!

My dauhter Danielle, asked if I could come and babysit the kids. Shasta got all excited as she watched me pack up some of our things we would be needing. I was having a bad brain day and although she said it was for just the one night, I got it in my head I was to take Julian, the youngest, home with me the next day.

So I've got a bad memory! It could be worse, I might not have one at all, so who am I to complain. LOL
We got ready and hauled everything on her and my back and away we went.

Once we got there, our fantastic little rug-rats came running up and WOW!!! The BIGGGGGG bear hugs and kisses we get, you'd think we were royalty.

The next moening was beautiful outside. Yes, with young kids I HAVE to do mornings, like it or not! LOL

Once I got Jonathan off to school...he's in grade one now and that's an all dayer, it was time to dress Julian and see what kind of dirt we could get into. After all, a kid is not a kid unless there is dirt around. Funny...I STILL love dirt. I guess the child in me will always remain.

Naturally, because they have a fenced in back yard, Shasta FINALLY was allowed to play without her muzzle and leash. She ate grass, chomped on rocks and ran as fast as any speeding bullet could, but she was to quick for me to click pictures of her doing it. LOL

Julian was shoveling dirt into his plastic bucket and Shasta showed him the quick way of digging. I bellowed, "SHASTA! NO DIGGING!" I know I'm a party pooper, but I also found out the hard way when I first made a garden and she was the greatest helper. I had my seedlings in, in no time with her digging it all up for me.

Problem was, after that and I saw garden patches she made for me EVERYWHERE!!! Oh man! I had to try to stop her and finally did, so I just couldn't let up with this even if it was a lot of fun for the two.

Julian was smart though, now he was shoveling from what Shasta had dug up and he was filling his pail faster.

The sun was hot, so Shasta finially found some shade to lay down in. The look on her face to me tells me she knows that this is only a 'special day' and not going to last.

They were out all morning and afternoon with the exception of coming in for lunch and they both had a hardy appetite. Gee...I wonder why?!

Can you see the expressions on both of their faces as I told them it was time to come inside the house now? As sad as they looked, I stood my ground and inside we went.

I took tons of pictures those two days and now I see Shasta will be just fine when finally the muzzles and leashes are able to come off. I pray that Clayton Ruby wins and our bullies can go back being dogs again. It did my heart good to see Shasta enjoying herself as she should be and I'm glad she had Julian and I to play with like a 'dog' and not like an innocent victim. We BOTH needed this!!!

The pictures don't even show the great time she had. I didn't have my camera out when she found the kids magic ball and got all tangled in it and the more she tried to get out, the more entangled she was. THAT was hallarious!!! Plus she was running so fast and trying her breaks, that I couldn't caught those pictures neither. She was too fast but too funny!
We DID have a blast and it was like before the BSL all over again only better, becuz she did everything that she couldn't do for a long time all over again at once. ROFL
