Its pertinent to note that a Multi-Donor trust fund was established specifically for funding of this Private Sector Development Trust Fund (PSDTF) with an initial funding of US$750m for capacity re-building, re-organization, re-construction, re-engineering and re-equipping of the Health sector of Iraq, with an additional funding of an extra US$850m from The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) to broaden the scope and focus of support for the Private Sector Development Trust Fund (PSDTF) for more developmental projects to kick off with special and specific emphasis again on the health sector with a final disbursement date of 30th October, 2024.
