With Every New Change You Learn

Sometimes when things get too complicated in your life, it takes a little inspiring poem to try to lift you up again. I chose this one to remind myself that I can't build on the future of uncertainty, but rather live for today and this very moment.
With every new change you learn.

After a while, you learn the subtle difference
Between holding a hand and chaining a soul,
And you learn that love doesn't mean leaning
And company doesn't mean security,
And you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts,
And presents aren't promises.
And you begin to accept your defeats
With your head up and your eyes open,
With the grace of an adult
Not the grief of a child.
And you learn to build all your roads on today
Because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain for plans
And futures have a way of falling down in mid-flight.
After awhile, you learn
That even the sunshine burns if you get too much.
So you plant your own garden, decorate your own soul,
Instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.
And you learn that you really can endure......
That you really are strong
And you really do have worth.
And you learn and learn.
With every new change you learn.

I'm still learning... and need to learn a lot more!

We all do! But this is reminding me I don't have to handle this all by myself and I don't need to fight until I make myself sick.
Someone loves the pitties even MORE than we could ever possibly love them...and I'm putting it back into His hands and taking it by the moment and watch our progress grow.

I know He won't give us more than we can bare, but goodness girl, He must trust you abundantly with the load you've carried. He's always there for us & even though some things don't go as we want, it does teach us a lesson. He also wants us to be able to put things into His hands. This is also a sign of faith, although yes it is sometimes the hardest thing to do, I even wonder how to do it sometimes. He's got his hands in this. If it's important to us, it's important to Him. He has his ways, even when we don't even see it!

LOL So you beleve He trusts me?... Could it be I had to learn lessons the hard way because of my strong will and determination of doing things MY way for so long? I must say...I've had an unbelievable adventuresome life that I could write a book or two about and shutter some times looking back. LOL But it's behind me and I've survived many, many times. It wasn't my hand in that and I know that now (actually then too). Problem was I prayed for patience...then found out patience wasn't on a silver platter held out to you...you had to learn it. And I tried, and I tried, and I tried...until, guess what? I finally got it right! *hugs*
Well g/f...here we are at the cross roads again with the pitties, do we try to save them our way or turn them over to Him...not a question. We see a smidgen of a picture. He see's the whole thing. Looks like we trust, follow and pray!

Exactly, here is my analogy of how I try to look at things. When you look at the back side of a cross-stitching, it looks like a mess, but the top side is a beautiful picture. When we're looking up, sometimes all we see is the back side of that cross-stitch and God looking down at us sees the beautiful picture.

Kinda crazy I know, but that's how I have to look at things sometimes... to help keep my sanity! LOL

I LOVE it! And you're so right. I keep reminding myself that we don't have to believe what we see with our eyes, as the spirit world is the opposite of what we see.
